Tips for gathering evidence to demonstrate your skills

The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

6. Prepare reports in required format to meet reporting timelines

7. Respond to information requests on a timely basis

Knowledge of:

8. The purpose and responsibilities for the information records and reports to be maintained/produced. This includes an understanding of accuracy levels and timeliness of recording and reporting

9. Techniques used to collate and assess information. This includes an understanding of typical recording outcomes to identify unusual or incorrectly recorded information

10. Likely causes of variation and related reporting responsibilities

11. Information system access levels and codes. This may include access levels within software

12. Communication skills relevant to reporting role
